Born from a [Mediterranean Background] seeking to elaborate [Advanced Solutions] for contemporary needs .

YAD is an architectural studio located between Beirut [LB], FLORENCE [IT] and Barcelona [ES], which operates as an international network of individuals who come forward to form higly skilled professionals groups in order to fulfill the project tasks adapted to the genius loci. The studio in Barcelona is directed by cofounder and leading architect Mohamad Yassin, the studio in Florence is is directed by cofounder and leading architect Giombattista Areddia.

YAd team is made by professionals with a considerable knowledge in the field of architecture,urbanism and interior design, engineering solutions on the various scale and stage levels, for public and private buildings.


Giombattista Areddia, born in Vittoria, Italy, in 1985, registered at the Architectural Association of Firenze,graduated in Architecture at the Università degli Studi di Firenze, in 2012.

Soon after graduation he won a selection for a working experience at the Regione Toscana – Real estate Department, where he participated for the refurbishment of historical buildings.

In the late 2013 he moved to Barcelona to attend the Master in Advanced Architecture at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalunia, with a master’s thesis in the platform of Building Intelligence -Digital Construction.
After the master he collaborated with the Iaac as a tutor at the International Global Summer School 2014 – THE NEXT CITY.

In 2014 he won a grant from the Istituto Nazionale di Architettura (InArch) to partecipate at the Leonardo Lifelong Learning Programme : U.S.A. III – Urban Sustainable Architecture – Third Edition, with an internship at DNA BARCELONA architects, in Barcelona.
Back in Florence in 2015 he founded with Mohammad Yassin YAd – Yassin Areddia Design.

Together with the architectural office he keep collaborating with the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Florence in the field of parametric architecture.


Mohamad Yassin born in Beirut in 1990 is a Lebanese Architect who is located in Barcelona, Spain. In 2013, after studying for four years in Lebanon,he decided to travel to Turin, Italy to finalize his bachelor’s degree.

After his graduation, Mohamad worked in Barcelona, Spain at DNA Architects, a Spanish International Architectural Firm. Inspired by this work, he decided to start a master’s program in Advanced Architecture at IAAC.

He graduated successfully in 2015, putting the focus of his master’s thesis on Metabolic Architecture.

After graduating, Mohamad spent time working on residential and commercial projects in Beirut and Mount Lebanon before he and his university colleague Giombattista Areddia decided to found YAD -YASSIN AREDDIA DESIGNS in Florence. Since then Mohamad has been working between Spain, Italy and Lebanon, finishing various projects in Europe and the Middle East.
